Our bright, citrusy fennel seeds come directly from the fertile valleys of Rohilkhand in North India! Named after the Rohila tribe, this fertile land is rich in history and nestled between two tributaries of the Ganges river and shares it’s eastern border with Nepal. The indigenous Rohila community that grow our fennel are hyper focused on the crop’s soil health to allow for the most flavorful, fresh fennel seeds! Grown alongside anise, cumin, and coriander, Beej Farms’ fennel has a distinct grassy top note fragrance followed by a gentle licorice flavor with undertones of spearmint.
